I have no recognized credentials in medicine, nutrition, hormones, or the aging process. I urge my readers to seek out such authorities.

All I'm suggesting is that readers do so in an empowered manner.

What led me to my present, rebellious, attitude was a series of events where:

  • I got very sick
  • asked for help
  • was given some
  • when I told them it wasn't working for me, they decided it was "all in my head"

This isn't fair. And it happens to women A LOT.

I traveled all my strange roads and byways because Authority stopped trying to help me fix my issues and thought I would be better served by taking drugs that were designed to treat something I didn't have.

This has a long and twisted history with women, emotions, 20th century science, and prejudice. At long last, this situation is being studied, explored, and exposed.

The stuff I'm writing about is stunning and surprising and even a little "out there." Trust me, I'm as stunned and surprised as anyone at some of the things I discovered and the things I tried.

But it's all true.

I'm just telling you what happened.

  1. It's very, very common for women to be told that their problems are all in their head. That happened to my mom's complaints of pain until someone (my current OBGYN) took her seriously in the ER--not her first trip by any means!--and found out she had stage 4 ovarian cancer. So I hear you loud and clear!
